Home Birth Companion is a birthing companion who offers, emotional, and informational support to women during labor and childbirth. They provide emotional support by offering reassurance, encouragement, and a calming presence throughout labor. They also offer physical support by implementing comfort measures such as positioning, massage, and pain-relief strategies. Additionally, they provide informational support by educating mothers and their partners about physiological birth, the importance of the partner during this transformative time, and helping mothers plan their home birth and experience.
Home Birth Companions are not licensed medical professionals and do not make decisions for the mother during labor or during the immediate postpartum.
If you're interested in having a homebirth, an unmedicated birth, or need support to stick to your birth plan, I can help. I provide education on physiological birth, techniques to manage pain, unbiased support, and ensure your partner feels supported too. As a Home Birth Companion, I may be the right fit for you.
